GNO Approved

Dressing for a winter night out can feel especially stale at times living in Southern California.  Kaitlynn Carter and I decided to have a little fun and shoot the ultimate GNO outfit based on our personal style.

For my look, I paired a Guns N Roses tee + leather pants with a feminine furred pumps to give an unexpected masculine/feminine twist. Kait styled her Stone Cold Fox red maxi dress with a Child of Wild embroidered choker and black ankle boots. When we're in need of a GNO, we head to some of our fav local spots in LA:

1. Delilah for a swanky 1920's dinner + drinks spot

Drink: The Spicy Siena (reposado, fresno chili, lime, agave, cilantro)

 2. Jones Hollywood for a cozy, old school rock n' roll setting

Drink: The Hendrix (pear basil margarita with herradura silver tequila cointreau, fresh lime juice, fresh pear juice, basil leaves)

 3. Tower Bar for a low key, seductive vibe

Drink: Tower Smash (tequila, fresh basil, hand squeezed lemon, fresh ginger)

Can you tell I like T E Q U I L A?

My entire look is from Elyse Walker, my absolute favorite store to splurge at in the Pacific Palisades. You can shop these looks + similar styles with the links below. #TGIT! Now time for a cocktail....

Special Occasion

The versatile maxi dress you'll want to wear on repeat.

Just as fast as fall creeped up after summer, the holidays will be here before we know it.  I'm a big fan of celebrations—with tequila involved, obviously—but hate waiting until the last minute before knowing what I'm going to wear. I decided I wanted more versatile look to throw on for upcoming parties and events, instead of stressing the day of. Anyone else?

I've partnered with Express to do some special occasion shopping and fell in love with this black maxi dress. It's sophisticated, but also comfortable and somewhat of a clean slate to style. I threw on a choker to give this look a cool, modern vibe.

I'm also craving to pair it with ankle booties and a leather jacket, dressing it down for a more casual night out in LA.

I love having a piece that I'll be able to style endlessly for this season's parties.  A little early shopping goes a long way...
