Cartagena is one of the most picturesque and culturally inspiring cities I have ever visited. Colombia has been on my bucket list for a long time and I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to visit! What's not to love? Colorfully painted streets, historic architecture, warm weather, and the lively energy of the city as a whole. Many people worry that Colombia is not a safe tourism destination, but I felt completely safe and had the most incredible experience while visiting. I HIGHLY recommend looking into booking a trip! A little about my stay...

Foray partnered with the brand Maaji for this getaway, hosting a group of bloggers to help bring awareness to the brand. Jill Wallace, Nicole Isaacs, Julia Friedman, Racquel Natasha, Kaitlynn Carter, and myself all came along for the journey. Maaji is a Colombian based resort & activewear label known for their reversible swimwear and bright, colorful prints. I was a fan of the brand before, but knowing the roots and the kind people behind the brand made me fall in love with it even more.

Esperanza Resort

Ah Cabo, you never disappoint! Growing up in Southern California, Mexico has become my go to destination for a quick, beachy getaway.

I recently stayed at Esperanza Resort in Cabo San Lucas with Becca Tilley and Kaitlynn Carter for a last minute getaway. The hotel was gracious enough to host us for the weekend and we had the best experience staying there. My room was one of their newly renovated casitas that had a beautiful view, complete with a jacuzzi on our balcony. Can you say dreamy!?

The service at Esperanza is 5-star and the staff goes above and beyond expectations to make you feel special. The hotel grounds are spacious, peaceful, and luxurious - perfect for a special occasion or relaxing girl's weekend! There are also a a variety restaurants on the property that service fresh and local cuisine. We quickly became friends with the executive chef, Guillermo who cooked the most amazing meals every night!

There are a ton of activities to do around the resort and in town. We especially enjoyed beach yoga, spa massages, tequila tasting, and camel riding. Yes, camel riding - hah! I have to say this was the highlight of our trip because we were laughing uncontrollably the entire time.

We also checked out Esperanza's newly opened property, Chileno Bay. The vibe is a little more modern and laid back compared to Esperanza's classic, luxury feel. The clean, all white design and Instagram worthy bar are just a few of the things that draw in a hip crowd. This hotel just opened, but I have a feeling I'll be seeing it all over Instagram real soon!

Thinking of planning a trip to Cabo soon? DO IT! Here are a few of my recommendations:

An unforgettable experience to L'Auberge de Sedona.

I just got back from my trip to L'Auberge De Sedona and all I can say is what an UNREAL experience. This was the first getaway in a long time that I had the ability to be present in to moment, not thinking about emails, Instagram, texts, – whatever.

With organized activities like forest bathing, sound healing, apothecary blending and stargazing, the trip was unlike anything I have ever experienced.

Foray Collective organized the getaway and brought along bloggers Becca Tilley and Naila. The flight to Phoenix was a quick 1 hour 40 minutes, followed by a 2 hour drive to Sedona. Once we arrived at the resort, it was time for action! We came in hot at 4pm and went straight into adventure mode. Knowing that the sunset was at 5pm, we jolted to our rooms to change, then headed the Cathedral Rock – a spiritual vortex hike with an epic view. Time was against us, so we ran- no literally, ran to the top of Cathedral in 20 minutes. We got there just in time to take in the breathtaking sunset.

After the hike, we headed to 89 Agave for a much earned tequila tasting and Mexican feast. I especially loved the guacamole with pomegranate seeds, mango, and almonds – yum! We probably ate too much but hey, we earned it after that hike.

Our second day there was raining, but we made the most out of it with activities around the hotel property. First, we headed to sound healing, where our instructor lead us through a 1 hour meditative session using Himalayan jars creating healing sound vibrations. Not gonna lie, I was a bit giggly at first. But towards the ended I was in a state of complete relaxation.

Next off, we headed to forest bathing. And no – it’s not exactly what it sounds like. Forest bathing is a unique nature experience with reflective meditation. The 60 minute session begins with an instructor giving a brief introduction of the practice, followed by multiple exercises to practice being  present and mindful. The instructor gave each of us eco-friendly journals to jot down our thoughts during each exercise. We all agreed that it was a great and much needed moment to unplug from the chaos to get in touch with the healing aspects of nature.

With a clear mind, we headed to the L’Auberge Spa, where we had a custom blending bar to create personalized body scrubs and bath soaks – so cute! After quick nap, we polished off the day with a 3 course dinner at Cress – the food was delicious!

On our final day, it was time to take on The Grand Canyon. Seeing the canyon has been on my bucket list, so I was really looking forward to this! Up an at it at 7am, we headed there bracing ourselves for the 2 hour drive. Our Pink Jeep Tour guide Ted was insightful and taught us about the history of the Grand Canyon during our drive up. Once we made it to our first stop, I was ABSOLUTELY STUNNED. It’s one of those places you look at and go - Is this real?! What is life?! It’s literally mind-blowing to think something like that can be on this planet.

Overall, my experience at L’Auberge Sedona was eye opening. The group I traveled with was a great, and I am feeling so lucky to have had this experience. I will definitely be coming back to L’Auberge and the Grand Canyon when I need some mind clearing. I strongly recommended visiting! See my travel recommendations below:

STAY: L’Auberge de SedonaA 5-star resort experience. The rooms have wood burning fireplaces, outdoor showers, and the service is incredible. Definitely take advantage of the activities and amenities offered on site.

HIKE: Cathedral Rock – The Hike House is a great place to start planning your hike. They have trail guides set up on their website and in their store, and they can also set up a private guide to hike with you.

VISIT: Grand Canyon Pink Jeep Tours The jeeps are able to take you where you wouldn’t be able to access on foot, so you’ll get picturesque views and plenty of photo-worthy moments.

EXPERIENCE: Forest Bathing, Sound Healing, Apothecary Blending – All of these activities are offered through L’Auberge.

RELAX: The Spa at L'Auberge  – Try the facial!

DINNER:Cress on Oak Creek –  For a special occasion.

DRINKS: 89 Agave or Etch Kitchen & Bar 89 Agave if you're looking for a more relaxed vibe. Chef Jimmy Day's food game at Etch is next level.

WEAR: Warm Earth Tones, Silver Jewelry, Embroidered Jackets, Ankle Boots, Felt Hat, Activewear.

A picturesque escape to Amangiri Resort in Utah with Kendra Scott x Who What Wear.

I feel very lucky to be able to travel often, and though every trip is special in its own way, I recently took one of the most memorable of my life. I visited Amangiri, Utah, and words can't describe what a trip this was. Amangiri is a secluded, ultra-lux, and modern hotel that's built into the stunning rocks of rural Utah. This place has been on my bucket list ever since I saw photos on IG years ago, and it did NOT disappoint!

I went with the Kendra Scott team, Who What Wear, Be Social PR, and Foray Collective, and my girls @sophieelkus, @kaitlynn_carter, and @littleblackboots. Foray + Be Social coordinated most of the trip, and WWW acted as an editorial partner since they'llbepublishing a piece on our trip soon! I also just signed to be a social influencer with Be Social, and I'm thrilled to be part of that team. This whole experience was amazing to be included on!

Pulling up to the hotel—after a 5-hour car ride from Vegas, that's how secluded it is!—we felt like we were on Mars. It was jaw-droppingly gorgeous. My favorite part was the pool, especially the shallow area that surrounded a huge natural rock with seating. We learned that the hotel was all-inclusive (cue lots of amazing food, including delish vegetarian options, + prickly pear margs (which are the pretty pink drinks in the photos)!

The first night, we attended the Kendra Scott x Who What Wear Dinner. The Kendra Scott Fall '16 Collectionwas inspired by the wild outdoors and natural stones, so thejewelry paired perfectly with theUtah atmosphere. The KS team set up a long, wooden table underneath the stars, surrounded by the mountains. The rustic table heldbeautifulfloral arrangements, candles, and jewelry from the collection.

The best part of the night was a METEOR SHOWER during dinner! It was super low to the ground, a slow and sparkling 15-second flash. It was incredibly stunning and we were speechless. I was lucky to get a video of it on Snapchat (P.S. I'm only using Instagram stories now!). I'll never forget that dinner.

The next day, we started with a Kendra Scott brunch where we got to create custom jewelry by setting our own stones. I chose to make a silver ring with a white druzy stone thatI absolutely LOVE. After making our pieces, we had the opportunity to make a custom piece (+ a handwritten note) for women fighting breast cancer. This was extra special for me since both my grandma and mom have cancer. Such a sweet touch by the KS team.

We alsovisited the spa and got mani/pedis with Kendra Scott's new polish collection. We then gotmassages which were SO relaxing. Jill and I may also have spent time laying in our bed with room service staring at our mountainviews. We followed that up by pool time. Ahhhhhh! Then we got the chance to visit Lake Powell for boat rides and stopped at some rock formations and jumping points to take photos.

The final day we were so sad to leave, but managed more pool time before heading out. And we had to fit in a few more margaritas!

I really hope that I get to revisit Amangiri, as the trip was simplymagical. I'm also excited to see the editorial of the trip go live on Who What Wear soon—keep an eye out!

Dominican Republic x Modeliste Magazine

Lifestyle, TravelLindsey CavanaughComment
IMG_1577.jpg

It goes down in the DR.

Fresh off Miami Swim Week, I headed to another beautiful coastal destination: The Dominican Republic with Modeliste Magazine. I went alongside @racquelnatasha @nicoleissacs @jessimalay @littleblackboots and we stayed at the Hard Rock Punta Cana. Modeliste is a magazine focusing on modern day tastemakers and influencers, and they were kind enough to host us all week!

It was my first time in the Dominican, and the trip ended up being the most perfect wind-down after the madness of Swim Week. Plus, the quick 2-hour flight from Miami was ideal after running around like crazy all week.

And just when I thought the ocean in Miami was the prettiest…the turquoise waters of the DR were unbelievable. I love you, Miami, but the Dominican has everyone beat. I’ve never seen water like that, and I’ve had a lot of time near the coast!

Naturally, we spent most of our time at the beach. They had dreamy white cabanas and hammocks scattered along the sand; it was out of a postcard. I definitely got recharged with the R+R that my body was craving. The resort was all-inclusive so we made sure to take advantage of that while hanging. Can you say endless pina coladas and plantain chips?! Yummmm!

My favorite part of the trip was dinner on the beach for Jessi Malay’s birthday. It was our own personal area with the most gorgeous table setup (there were chandeliers!), a DJ, and a bar, all during a stunning sunset. I wore all white and ended up blending in perfectly with the setting. I hope Jess enjoyed her birthday as much as we did!

It definitely won’t be my last time in the Dominican. Thanks again, Modeliste!

Miami Swim Week 2016

Lifestyle, TravelLindsey Cavanaugh1 Comment

Another Swim Week for the books.

As I’m sure you saw on my Instagram and other blogger’s social accounts, Miami Swim Week took place a couple weeks ago. I went with my Foray Collective girls @kaitlynn_carter, @littleblackboots, @the_salty_blonde, @jessimalay, @blankinerary, @evelina, @naila, and @racquenatasha, and it was too much fun as always!

It was my FIFTH Swim Week in a row so I’m officially in veteran territory. Miami is one of my favorite places—the mix of city and beach is what I feel like I’m a hybrid of, and it’s hard not to fall in love with the energy there.

We stayed at the 1 Hotel South Beach which I’m obsessed with. Everything from the modern beach décor, to the clean, minimalist aesthetic matches my style perfectly and is what my décor dreams are made of.

The weekend was crazy busy, but in the best way. Friday we hosted a brunch with Kendra Scott Jewelry at our hotel. After that, we checked out the Bollare gifting hub in the Penthouse of the 1 Hotel. The suite had 360-degree windows, so as you can imagine, the views of the skyline + turquoise water were ahhhmazing! They had gifting racks from a few of my favorite brands like Alo Yoga, SUNDAY SOMEWHERE, and Vitamin A Swim. There was also a refreshment bar with coconut waters and sake-soaked pineapple skewers which is the best way to eat fruit, right?! Best of all, there was a beauty lounge upstairs where you could get VIP makeup, nail, and hair treatments. Basically the ultimate beachy dream scenario.

Saturday we hosted an event at Cecconi’s @ Soho House with bikini.com and Be Social PR. That was a blast!

And let’s not forget about the main reason we were all there…swimwear! We went to a bunch of shows including Tori Praver, VIX, For Love & Lemons (with an adorable French-girl theme), and Frankies Bikinis. Foray co-hosted the Indah show at the W hotel which was my personal favorite! We also attended the Mikoh cocktail party on the 1 rooftop where I got to catch up with designers Oleema and Kalani about their line.

It’s always sad to say goodbye to Miami, and I’m already looking forward to my Swim Week #6 in 2017!

Korakia, Palm Springs

A quick getaway with bebe and Foray Collective.

A couple weeks ago, I was able to escape for a dreamy Palm Springs getaway hosted by Foray Collective and bebe. @blankitinerary @pamhetlinger @walkinwonderland @sophieelkus were there too which was great. PS has always been a favored impromptu destination of mine, and I love getting to know new girls from the industry—especially when they are extremely cool and smart.

We stayed at the Korakia Pensione which felt like a Moroccan paradise and had cute, intimate bungalow cottages. The whole space was unique and gorgeous—even the hotel’s fountain had rose petals floating in it. Everything was sooo peaceful and quiet. Since I manage Influencer Marketing at Foray, I actually coordinated the trip and luckily it turned out really well!

Day one I wore my favorite bebe outfit of the weekend, this off-the-shoulder black top. We relaxed at the pool all day and followed that up with in-room massages. Heaven! Happy hour was spent sipping champagne in the hotel’s courtyard where I finally got to meet (the super sweet) Pam and Sheryl. After HH, we headed to Workshop for a three-hour communal dinner with endless laughs...and drinks. Post dinner all the girls headed back to the pool for a night swim + more wine. So much fun!

Before leaving the next day, we attended the bebe brunch at the courtyard and had the BEST avocado toast (even better than what I’ve had in LA). It was farm-to-table food and you could really taste the freshness.

I could do this weekend over and over again. ‘Til next time, Palm Springs!

Pasea Hotel, Huntington Beach

Lifestyle, TravelLindsey Cavanaugh1 Comment

Huntington Beach just got a revamp.

I recently got to have a girls staycation at the new Pasea Hotel in Huntington Beach along with one of my best friends Kaitlynn Carter. We loved everything about the hotel, from the Gray Malin prints to the ocean-facing Penthouse Suite we were lucky enough to stay in. The Pasea is the most beautiful mix of California cool + modern chic and it brings sophistication to the sleepy beach town. We fell in love with the place and had the best time.

We started our Saturday morning with a private yoga session on the hotel’s lawn overlooking the ocean. There’s not a better way to wake up than a peaceful workout overlooking the Pacific, and it set the tone for the whole weekend. We then had the most amazing spa experience with a massage followed by a saltwater hot tub. Yoga + spa time was much needed and it was the most relaxed I’ve been in months.

For dinner, we went to the hotel’s restaurant Tanner’s and were able to try just about everything thanks to the chef. The whole menu was incredible but the curry risotto was my absolute favorite. We obviously had to follow dinner up with drinks at the rum bar on the rooftop deck. The roof was stunning, and it was the most perfect day.

We heard there was shopping close to the hotel, so we knew we wanted to check that out before heading home Sunday. We found a brand new shopping center adjacent to the hotel with unique, charming restaurants and shops. We made our way to the champagne bar, then to Petals + Pop where you can make your own flower bouquets which was so fun and cute. I also noticed The Bungalow, a great beachside bar—like the popular one Santa Monica—that’ll open in August.

We left feeling so refreshed and I’ll definitely be coming back to this little slice of heaven on the California coast.

An memorable adventure to San Francisco with bebe and Foray Collective.

Another #FORAYgetaway for the books! This past weekend I traveled to San Francisco for the first time with some of my favorite ladies for a branded content trip with bebe. Kaitlynn Carter, Jill Wallace, Jessi Malay, Cara Santana, Racquel Natasha, and the creative team from Bebe all joined in for the festivities. Friday

we flew to SF and checked into our beautiful rooms at

The Clift Hotel

. We explored the city and went to the iconic Painted Ladies houses (where Full House was shot).   When happy hour arrived, the girls gathered for drinks and appetizers in The Redwood Room at The Clift Hotel.  Fun fact - the entire room is created from of a single redwood tree!  Afterwards, we made our way to

The Dorian

for a beautifully set up welcome dinner with the team. The night continued on with drinks, photo ops, dancing, and more drinks. :)

The next day, we found our way to the ocean and explored Sausalito. Sausalito feels like a mixture of Newport Beach and Santa Barbara. The town had bicyclists zipping up and down the streets, cute boutique shops, and locals trotting along the oceanside boardwalk. We shot some photos around the area and took a mini detour to the Golden Gate Bridge which was awesome to see. On Sunday, Foray and bebe hosted a #backtobebe brunch at Marlowe. The brunch was held in a quaint, private room in the back of restaurant. The table placement cards were fashion sketches of each girl - so cute!  Cara Santana suggested we play a game to REALLY get to know one another that was so much fun.  She asked us questions below as we went around the table.  At the end, she told us what the answers revealed about ourselves:

1. If you were an animal, what would you be and why?

This describes how you see yourself.

2. What is your dream car to drive?

This is how you see your life partner.

3. How would you landscape your dream home?

This describes the type of friendships you value.

4. What body of water would you be?

This describes your sex style.

Needless to say, the weekend was memorable not only because of the experiences, but the girls involved. I am so lucky to know such a driven, smart, and beautiful group of ladies working in the fashion industry.  It really makes me proud to be in this business.  Til' the next #FORAYgetaway!

With Foray Collective and The Salty Blonde. Andddd I'm back! This past week I flew to Hawaii alongside Foray Collective for a #FORAYgetaway with Halley Elefante aka The Salty Blonde - my beach babe Insta crush. Halley and I shot around the The North Shore and worked with some awesome emerging brands: Sea of Candi Swim, XIX Palms, and SWF Boutique.

This time we REALLY saw everything when we took a private helicopter tour over the island. Having a bird's eye view was definitely worth the motion sickness!

We shacked up at The Modern Honolulu (my fav hotel in Hawaii) and explored some local hubs. XIX Palms designer Allie mentioned that we MUST got to Koko Head Cafe - a culinary goldmine from Lee Anne Wong who was a contestant on Top Chef! And woah, the food did not disappoint.

The beautiful scenery and culture of Hawaii never fades. Hoping I am lucky enough to come back again soon! Until the next adventure...

Mar Adentro Los Cabos. Mar Adentros Los Cabos is a modern Mexico dream!! This hidden gem had a soft opening in December and fully opens later this year. The architecture + design is luxurious and innovative - we had the best time staying there.

The hotel is set to have 5 restaurants. The rooms have a spa like feeling, sliding glass doors with ocean views, and bathtubs on every balcony! Mar Adentro is away from all of the Cabo madness which I appreciated since we were visiting during the same time as college spring break. It was nice to get away to zen out and relax with girlfriends.

We escaped on Saturday to explore Flora Farm - an Ojai feeling shopping center in San Jose Del Cabo. The center included Flora Farms restaurant (AMAZING food & vibe), a gourmet ice cream stand (so cute), novelty shops, a wine lounge, and James Perse.

Definitely looking to book another trip asap! Here are some highlights...

Stay: Mar Adentro Los Cabos

Day Trip: Flora Farms

Dinner: Pedregal, Agua at Palmilla

Cayman Islands

TravelLindsey Cavanaugh2 Comments
IMG_0758-e1456863852275.jpg

A peak inside my recent trip to the Caribbean. Cayman was everything I knew it would be. This island seems to be the Cabo of the East Coast- it was the most beautiful escape.

I had so many great experiences: watching my aunt get married, exploring 7 mile beach, Stingray City, Starfish Point, and dining at local favorites like Luca and Agua. We even had a night out at a Cuban cigar bar and smoked a few - gotta try everything once (or twice) right? Some of my favorite spots on the island:

Stay: Caribbean Club

To Do: 7 mile beach, Camana Bay, Stingray City, Starfish Point

Brunch: Luca, Lauren's, Bar Jack @ The Ritz

Lunch: Sunshine Grill, Island Naturals

Dinner: Agua, Ragazzi

Night Out: Havana Club, Bar at Luca

Already thinking of planning my next trip!
